The Client:
Our client is a systems integrator and managed services provider. Their aim is to build and support their IT infrastructures. The company is involved in deployment and management of network infrastructure for managed serviced clients.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity now exists for a Network Engineer to join Cisco network engineering department. The successful candidate responsibilities will be to enable delivery of complete Integrated Services Management across specific disciplines, develop other team members to enhance their technical expertise and be responsible for complex large scale IT solution designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed network design for the implementation of network projects
- Provide technical support to project managers during the implementation of managed services for clients
- Undertake network optimisation, network performance and reliability engineering activities.
- Develop technical specifications for projects and equipment
Qualifications and skills required
- Min 5 yrs networking technology in a large enterprise - capable of providing network direction for the company within a Managed LAN/ WAN agreement with a major Telco
- Min 5 yrs experience with enterprise IP based networks, 5-years Cisco ideal
- Tertiary qualifications ideally in both technology and business
- Experience with networking consolidation, standardisation & voice/ data convergence
- Ability to interpret and raise and track "request for service" to service providers
- Experience and understanding of network security
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Prior strong track-record in carrier/ vendor co-ordination to deliver Network solutions
