Client:
Our client is a global leader in engineering design & project management of significant civil infrastructure projects. Servicing the rail, resources, environment and commercial sector, it continues exceed their client's expectations.
They have recently been awarded the contracts for the provision of civil/structural infrastructure associated to significant Iron Ore projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. As a result they require a Design Manager with both strong Iron Ore & Civil Infrastructure experience to join the Perth team.
Role:
Your main objective will be to coordinate and manage the multi-disciplinary Design Team across its major mining infrastructure projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. You will be also providing technical expertise, establishing and implementing new design processes, coordinating resources, tendering and achieving new business targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 - 15 years + experience as a Civil Engineer with university qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Previous Design Managment experience preferred and a track record across Iron Ore Projects. Experience within WA Iron Ore Projects preferred
- Excellent knowledge of design processes & solutions and a track record in the management of design teams
- Excellent client skills and project managament capabilities
- A solid understanding of project controls and contracts
- Excellent leadership skills and a decision making capabilities
