The Client:

Our client is an industry leading Australian company that provide industry specific products and services to the companies under their umbrella. They have operations Australia wide where you will be managing and coordinating office relocations, refurbishments and closures.
The role will require you to have IT Infrastructure knowledge because you will be handling the upgrading of phone systems, routers, switches, and network equipment.
You will need to have great time and management skills to be also handle external vendors and all key stakeholders

The Role:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for each project showing project scope, tasks to be performed, resources required, duration of tasks, stakeholder details, and progress status.
  • Negotiate with and manage both internal and external resources assigned to undertake each project to ensure the project activities are performed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain proven procedures and templates for the common activities associated with the phases of each project type.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Communicate project risk and issues to stakeholders and escalate with key stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain a weekly report showing the status of each project for presentation to the IT service manager.
  • Delegate tasks to project team members (internal and external) as appropriate. Ensure they understand the outcomes that need to be achieved.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance of all relevant Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements, policies, procedures and framework with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment.
  • Liaise with external vendors for project related work such as additional services or infrastructure required.


Requirements:

  • Strong management skills highlighting experience in planning, allocating and reviewing resources within multiple projects, to ensure project delivery to meet business requirements and successful project outcomes.
  • Experience in the techniques of planning and project management.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills and behaviours, including negotiation, conflict resolution, delegation, motivation, knowledge sharing and pro-active problem management
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to solve problems and negotiate outcomes whilst working under minimal supervision
  • A good understanding of ITIL principles and processes
  • Working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications and project management software.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure systems including telephone services and IP telephony, network equipment, cabling and provision of these services
