Our client is a renowned global consultancy who delivers innovative solutions across the resources, urban development, architectural, environmental, transportation and government industries. With over 6000 staff across their national and international offices they continue to deliver excellent and innovative solutions to its clients.
Currently engaged in exciting projects for both government sector and private sector clients, they now require an IT Desktop Support Officer to join their Perth team.
The Role
In this role you will be working closely with the WA IT Service Delivery Manager to undertake the following functions:
Provide clear and effective technical support to staff in a face to face situation, phone and email
Process IT Help Desk escalations in an efficient manner
Train new staff on the company’s systems
Skills and Requirements
- 2 years experience as a Desktop Support Officer
- Degree qualified in a relevant IT field or TAFE equivalent
- MCSE or MCP qualification
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
Other Skills
- High understanding of Windows XP and Windows 7
- Strong knowledge of Office 2007, 2010
- Ability to work individually but especially in a team environment
- Great verbal and interviewing skills
- Advanced problem solving skills in a Windows environment
